Adjustable Heel Lift:
- They do come in S/M/L
- Take insert out of the patients shoe to make sure the heel lift will fit
- Start out with just one layer (1/8 inch) for a short amount of time (a few hours to a few days depending on response)
- If it is feeling good but more is needed, add the 2nd layer and repeat
- Important to use to tolerance – may have to adjust as time passes
- **VERY IMPORTANT: once you find the amount of layers for correction, you must wear it any time you are on your feet. If use is intermittent, it may do more harm
- Write L/R on them for the patient to know
Amerigel Lotion:
- Antimicrobial (fights infection), antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antipruritic (decrease itching) lotion
- Works by killing microorganisms and fungus and helps with inflammation and itchy skin
- Contains Oakin, which helps fight infections and inflammation
- Rehydrates and soothes dry skin, softens and exfoliates corns and calluses, moisturizes and promotes healthy skin; safe for sensitive skin
- Great for diabetics
- Following showering or bathing, gently pat skin dry and immediately apply the lotion
- For best results use 2x daily
Biofreeze Gel & Roll On:
- Use up to 4x a day
- Topical pain reliever that works by using cold therapy to block pain sensation
Bunion Night Splint:
- They are Right and Left
- Wear anytime you are resting with your feet up (usually at night when sleeping)
- Used to help relieve pain from bunions and to help slow down the progression of the bunion
- Used after bunionectomy surgeries to prevent bunion from forming again
Calicylic Cream:

- Half-moon cut out area is used to off lift weight and pressure
- Don’t let it touch anything but the skin
- Can cut to fit the bottom of the foot
- Problem area goes in the cut out part of the pad

- To make it sticky again, rinse with warm water and let it air dry
Formula 7:
- OTC
- Topical antifungal solution
- Don’t need a lot on each nail
- If there is more than two nails, do all of the nails b/c of how fungus can spread
